Niki van Strien is a Rotterdam based artist.
Her artistic practice is based on our experiences with the phenomenological world, the world as it lays in front of us. In her works she tries to undo her objects of its meanings and connotations given by the processes of cultural interpretation. Leaving barely any information for an experience but the physical, one could say that the art practice of Niki van Strien is a search through matter.
