Logistics – or the art of managing the flow of goods in time and space – is at work all around us to satisfy our daily life, orchestrating the transactions of billions of products each day. Its utilitarian rhythms and tempos, those of algorithms silently driving top-down operations, the repetitive noises of machineries that sort and direct boxes or substances, and the biological ones from people operating as part of this global choreography, altogether compose the tangible side of our economies.

Perpetuum Mobile is a research project that investigates through sound this ever-moving network – echoing the instant deliveries within neighbourhoods and cities as much as the slow flows of containers linking continents.
